Nigerian Singer Ruger known for his hit songs Dior and Bounce was in Uganda and performed at a show dubbed The Big Brunch. The big brunch that was organised by East meets West took place in Munyonyo.
The show was supposed to happen on Saturday but was cancelled by Police for some security reasons and moved to the second day Sunday, sending back thousands of revellers. The next day saw the same faces coming back but because of change in day of the event and perhaps change in the people’s programs, the turn up was slow on Sunday but by the time of the performances, the venue, mostly VIP was filled to the brim.
When Ruger came on stage at he performed for exactly one hour. He kicked off the show with some of the songs that few Ugandans knew and ended with the two title hits, Dior and Bounce. The singer showcased some energy while on stage and left Ugandans singing and shouting on top of their voices, he invited some of the girls who came and performed with him.
Before Ruger, Azawi, so calm and composed also took to the stage and performed almost all her songs. Other artistes included Aroma, City Don, Hit Nature among others.
The event production was lit and was done by ATS events. Gamers Empire located in Kansanga UK Mall also set up a gaming hub under and experiential tent and revellers who were waiting for Azawi and Ruger spent time while playing some virtual reality games.
After his performance in Munyonyo Ruger attended an after party organised by Sheilah Gashumba at Garden City rooftop.
