Rubis Energy Uganda has donated an assortment of items to the SOS Children’s Villages to enable them enjoy their festivities smoothly.
The SOS Children’s Villages that take care of over 29,000 vulnerable children in Uganda was started in 1991 and has transformed the lives of over 100,000 children from their Kakira, Entebbe and Fortportal villages.
While handing over the items Olivier Gatera, the Country Manager Rubis Energy Uganda said that through celebrations like Christmas it is in the Rubis Energy culture to positively impact the community with cheer and items that will ease the lives of those being taken care of.
“It has always been more rewarding to give especially at a time when we need each other. The global pandemic was and still is a lesson to all of us. We have learnt to love and care for our neighbors. It is in this spirit that we have donated items compromising of a full set of cooking gas, grain food, and fuel for the villages’ ambulances among others.” He said.
While receiving the items, Paul Bwamiki, the Programmes Director at SOS Children’s Villages commended Rubis Energy for extending such care and love towards the villages where they take care of vulnerable children who are about to lose or who have lost parental care shelter and care.
“These children are special to us and such donations will come in handy as we take care and make life easier and better for them. This donation from Rubis Energy will help us the care takers to ensure that the life of these children continue to improve greatly,” Bwamiki said.
