The Radio and Television awards that were held yesterday at Sheraton hotel ended in jeopardy as some of the categories went without being honored.

There were many complaints at the event. Some people were not satisfied from the start to the end. It was argued that some of the nominees were put in the wrong categories, an example was NTV Uganda’s MC Kats. Kats who won the category of Uprising TV star was never meant to be in that category because he is a ‘veteran in TV’. It should be recalled that over 15 years ago, MC Kats was one of the presenters of a teens show on one local station. ‘I didn’t know I was still uprising’ said MC Kats.

Some other people from diffident stations especially radios were heard complaining that some categories where they had hopes of winning were never given out. This was after rumors were circulating that the organizers run out of awards to give out and therefore used time as an excuse to discontinue the event that was still going on.
