The 41st edition of the Uganda Cup is underway after the preliminary rounds in the up country, regional and community clubs ended. Draws for the round of 64 and 32 are due today at the FUFA house in Mengo, Kampala for the knockout annual tournament.
“The Preliminary round progressed with a success with the exception of West Nile, North, East and Northern Regions which did not take up slots allocated for preliminaries. All the 64 clubs will know their opponents after the draws”, FUFA competitions manager Ali Mwebe told the federations website.
The tournament winner represents Uganda at the CAF confederations Cup and the tax collectors of Uganda Revenue Authority are the defending champions of the annual tournament.
