The Rotary club of Kampala Naalya has served above self as the Rotary motto states by equipping youth of Kibiri community in Wakiso District with business skills.
The Rotary Club of Kampala Naalya is among the 75 Rotary clubs in Uganda serving under Rotary International to promote high ethical standards, peace and economic empowerment as well as providing humanitarian services in the communities around us.
This year Rotary in District 9211 comprising of Uganda and Tanzania embarked on a project codenamed Rotary Vijana Poa that seeks to empower youth. The idea requires Rotary clubs to identify youth who left school and are unemployed and also those who have skills but lack jobs with an aim of empowering them to be job creators and not job seekers.

The group that is Identifies are required to undergo a 8-day Rotary Vijana training organized by the District Rotary Vijana team.
Rotary club of Kampala Naalya together with their Community partner International Relief Friendship foundation- Uganda (IRRF), identified a group of youth in Kibiiri, – Wakiso district who were trained and covered topics such as communication skills, Management, Financial literacy and Business development among others.
Speaking at the end of the training, the president Rotary club of Kampala Naalya, Flavia Serugo said that most of the youth are being labelled as a burden to society because they lack jobs. She promised that as Rotarians, they are ready to offer groups of youth soft loans so that they start up their business after getting the necessary training.
Majority of the youth that were identified in Kibiri, are school leavers from s4 & s6, they promised to start up poultry business.
