Guns is one of the Uganda’s finest designers for film actors and actresses, popularly known for his gangster role in Destiny series on NBS by Osman Matovu and Zanda produced by AMACO films. He is a designer who creates most of designs and assembles them at his local based shop in Mulago near the roundabout.
Ronnie Guns started this business way back but says he has encountered a lot of challenges with musicians who want to be designed but do not want to pay their bills and this has affected his business because he is not able to invent new styles and purchase new materials.
Some of the artist that have been designed by Ronnie Guns and people mistake their designs for Guuci, Gabana and others include, Bebe Cool, Coco Finger, Liane, Pretty Glo, Dj Micheal, Ziza Bafana and others for their concerts and videos.
One might hardly believe that Guns sits on a sewing machine to make most of these fabulous designs for both men and women himself but that’s how talented and skilled he is. He has also provided consumes or acted as a costume designer in some movies. He also provides them with other accessories such as arsenal for example guns that were used in Destiny, swords used in Ndisabuti video etc.
“I have been left with no option but to confront some musicians for my costumes. I don’t hike their prices but some have a habit of not paying but this time I won’t disclose their names”. Said Guns
