During the Hajji Haruna Mubiru Live in Concert on August 9 at the Kampala Serena Hotel, singer Ronald Mayinja shared a light-hearted moment with media personality Mary Nambwayo Kinene.
The two exchanged playful banter, with Mayinja humorously bringing up the recent controversy involving Nambwayo and her baby daddy, Suuna Ben.
Taking on the role of an impromptu journalist, Mayinja quizzed Nambwayo, who admitted to being shy.
Despite her shyness, the interaction was filled with laughter, especially when Mayinja mentioned that he was pleased to hear about her recent acquisition of a house.
The conversation took a more personal turn when Mayinja asked Nambwayo to comment on the saga that had thrust her into the spotlight. However, Nambwayo chose to laugh off the question and declined to respond.
Mayinja didn’t shy away from offering advice during their exchange. He praised Nambwayo as a woman who helps build a man and urged her to stay with Suuna Ben, noting that anger can always fade, leaving room for reconciliation.
He also thanked her for protecting the family home, pointing out that the recent revelations about the land title have safeguarded the property from being sold.
The highlight of their interaction came when Nambwayo referred to the house as “our house,” a term that Mayinja particularly appreciated.
