Media personality Robin Kisti will host a youth platform dubbed “Youth Link up” during the annual Uganda Festival held in USA where youth can express themselves and show off their talent.
To be conducted under the theme “Ugandan and Proud”, it will feature an open conversation about “Culture and identity” led by Robin Kisti.
“When living in a foreign land it is easy to loose our identities which makes some youth forget who they are and where they come from.” Robin Kisti noted.
“We believe that it is important as youth to hold onto our culture and be proud so they can care to develop and change some lives of those that are in need. We want to create awareness on some of the issues affecting our youth back home and come up with some solutions over time.” She added.
The Uganda Festival will be held from August 30 to September 2 and will feature several other activities including a boat cruise dinner, and performances from the likes of Afrigo band and Isaiah Katumwa among others.
