Roast and Rhyme, a picnic-style event held every four months by the lakeside in Munyonyo, returns this October with a new twist.
The organizers have introduced a new theme dubbed “The Thanks Giving”. According to the organizers, they will continue to swing in new changes aimed at ensuring revelers have a different experience every time. Previously, the event has been either themed “Reggae Ragga nyam nyam” or “story tellers” edition.
“We all have so much to be thankful for, yet we never take off enough time to give thanks,” explained Jaylor Birungi, Events Manager, Swangz Avenue. “And this being thanks giving season, we decided that this edition should be dedicated to families, love and giving thanks.”
“We have planned a bigger lineup of entertainment, lots of free give aways, drinks and vouchers from our different partners.” She added.
The Swangz Avenue organized event which has become a mainstay on Uganda’s social calendar will however maintain it’s tradition of showcasing some of Uganda’s best live music acts.
This edition will feature lots of exciting entertainment including live performances by Winnie Nwagi, Isaac Rucci and many more.
The other attractions for this edition will include more games for the children, free 2 litres of Coca cola for everyone who comes through with their own braai and meat to roast and more. There will also be free meat to be gifted to the first 200 families.
