With the Covid-19 pandemic still raging on and the entertainment industry largely still under lockdown, businesses in the sector are now adapting new ways to keep afloat.
This became more apparent when Swangz Avenue, the organizers of the popular Roast & Rhyme announced that the social event is returning with a new twist this December.
Previously held at the shores of lake Victoria in Munyonyo, the event now returns with an eco-tourism twist to it. Dubbed “The Wild Roast & Rhyme” edition, it will offer revelers a fun and adventurous weekend at Murchison falls National Park.
“The event is inline with government’s efforts to promote local tourism. Although we have already seen a growing trend of Ugandans going out in the wild to explore Uganda’s beauty, this kind of offering will be a first for adventure lovers.” The organizers noted.
The event will take place on the 2nd weekend of December, starting Friday 11th to Sunday, 13th December. It will feature several fun activities including camping, bonfire, game drive, live entertainment as well as a special brunch in the wild.
“This experience is in line with the Ministry of Health COVID-19 guidelines. Multiple hand washing points will be set up, temperature checks at every activity and attendance is restricted to the allowed government numbers for every activity.” The organizers further revealed.
Tickets for the experience start from Ugx 200,000 per person for the entire weekend staying in a tent or Ugx 340,000 per person staying at one of the designated lodges. There are also other packages ranging from bed and breakfast to full board from which party goers can choose from.
