RIP: Nothern Uganda’s music icon succumbs to cancer

Northern Uganda’s music king is dead. Ogwang Benard commonly known as Mzee B Beniman 2stars passed on today (Wednesday) morning at 6am. Mzee B who was battling cancer was admitted at the Uganda Cancer Institute where he finally met his death.His death was confirmed by his manager Mr Opio Brian also known as the Ghetto Prince in a Facebook post. “ Rest In Peace king , Finally today at @6am he takes his rest. till we meet again” he posted

A lot of fans,artists and celebrities had come together to support Mzee B’s recovery through a campaign tagged save Mzee B 2stars from cancer where they have been buying t-shirts and jumpers printed in his name to be able to raise money for his medical bills but unfortunately he died.

Mzee B 2stars from Lira started singing in 2005 with a breakthrough hit song called Anyim.He had other songs like figure,super glue, Wan bulu and many others .He had just released another song dubbed My angel and he died before releasing the video. Top celebrities have come up to extend their condolences including Uganda’s biggest Tv personality Dauglas Lwanga. “ If you come from Northern Uganda, you definitely know Mzee B from Lira.Rest in Peace Mzee B-Beenieman.The music industry will miss you.” He posted.May his soul rest in eternal peace.
