Rihanna has been sued for allegedly making defamatory comments about her former head of security, according to a report.
A man named Geoffrey Keating from Finglas, Dublin is suing the ‘Diamonds’ singer for statements she made in an email written in July 2013.
Keating served as head of Rihanna’s security detail during her tour between October 2012 and July 2013.
According to the Irish Independent, details of the email, sent to Keating and his wife, have not been revealed, though the suit describes its contents as “nauseatingly offensive”.
The suit goes on to claim that Keating’s security business has been damaged by Rihanna’s undisclosed allegations.
Keating’s lawyers have been granted permission by the High Court to serve papers at Rihanna’s Soho, New York apartment.
The former security head is reportedly seeking damages against the singer, including an order directing the Barbados native to issue a statement of apology.
