Musician Rickman Manrick has clarified the current state of his relationship with fellow musician Grenade Official.

The two have a history of bad blood, partly due to both having dated Sheila Gashumba. While Rickman insists he holds no grudge against Grenade because of their shared past with Sheila, netizens remain skeptical.
Their long-standing animosity culminated in a physical altercation, with the pair recently facing off in a boxing match. Rickman emerged victorious, making a bold statement that he demands respect. True to his earlier promise to handle the feud professionally, Rickman dedicated himself to training and ultimately claimed the win.
During an exclusive interview with Galaxy TV yesterday, Rickman was asked whether his victory had softened his feelings toward Grenade Official. Many speculated that proving his point in the ring might help him move past their animosity. However, Rickman made it clear that the fight had not changed his opinion of Grenade.
“Nothing has changed. Everything is still the same. The only difference is that I taught him a lesson. That does not mean we are now friends. It does not settle anything between us,” Rickman stated.
He elaborated that true friendship requires mutual care and connection, something he says has never existed between him and Grenade. “Do you know who a friend is? A friend is someone who is there for you, someone who calls you, checks on you, knows your family, and whose family knows you. You share many things with a friend. Grenade and I have never had that kind of relationship,” Rickman explained.
Rickman also denied that his hostility toward Grenade is rooted in their past connection to Sheila Gashumba. Instead, he attributed their differences to Grenade’s personality. “This is not about Grenade’s past relationship with Sheila Gashumba. It is about him as a person. Once my personality does not align with someone, there is no way I am going to try being friends with them. That is the case with Grenade. I don’t like his character, and that is that,” Rickman concluded.
It seems the feud between Rickman and Grenade Official is far from over, with no signs of reconciliation on the horizon.
