Ugandan youth are quickly exploiting their talents to serve their nation in the best ways possible. One of the fields that are dominated by the youth is music. Although many work in different genres, one such artistes. Rich2 Trumpeter real names Richard Kalemba, decided to go the instrumental way. Trumpet music to be specific.
The youngster who is one of the few Ugandan trumpet players and has done different feelings of various song covers from various artists all over East Africa has released his long-awaited Moyo Africa Jazz Feel out.
Trumpeter who has worked on his own instrumental covers of Jose chameleon’s Sweet banana, Diamond Platnumz’s African beauty Vinka’s Chips Na Ketchup and Voltage Music’s Squeeze featuring Fille is only getting started.
Moyo Africa is about the love and the beauty of Africa. It was inspired by the sounds that he feels every morning from the time he leaves home and heads to work. Moyo Africa is produced by Prof Eli Beats and mastered by Bomba Music. It is comprised of six different trumpet feels that he recorded with some of the biggest producers in the Ugandan music industry.
Trumpeter’s Musical journey initially started during his time in his orphanage home (DON BOSCO) in Kira Namugongo since he was a lone child who never got the chance to get all the care and support from his parents that sadly passed away.
Rich2 trumpeter got the inspiration to make one day make it big in the music industry since he had a different new and fresh feel (Trumpet), with all the hard work and making God first in all. Challenging as it was to break it in the music industry with the help of some of the music’s geniuses he gained popularity during his 2nd year in all the performances he used to do around Kampala.
He got his biggest push during his first stage performance at Galaxy fm’s Music fest at Imperial hotel in 2017. Since then Rich2 Trumpeter has received endorsement deals and performance bookings around East Africa.
He was inspired by Worldwide trumpet players like Hugh Masekera and Timmy Trumpet who have been a great push to his journey in Uganda’s entertainment industry.
With the journey Rich2 has been on he says he hasn’t hit his pinnacle of his success with dreams of collaborating with the biggest names in the Music industry, becoming a recipient of some of the most prestigious musical awards and opportunities to perform on the biggest stages around the world.
