Ten beautiful creations, five designers, one run way and all you can expect is anything but magical. That’s exactly what guests were treated to at Aamito’s farewell dinner last Friday evening.
The evening was graced by some of the industry’s big shots; Gloria Wavamuno, Stella Atal, Santa Anzo, Kwesh, and Martha Jambo, showcasing some of their latest trends.
Stella Atal and Santa Anzo went for the seasonal mellow yellow, that is actually one of the colours trending at the moment. Gloria on the other hand, had bell bottoms, and asymmetrical jackets on show. The other catchy thing was the models, gothic make up, and the sleek drawn back hair styles.
Lace, and the turquoise hue, were what fashion designer Martha Jambo opted for. The lace is a trend carried on from last year, and is definitely still trending, as it was a favourite for many of the guests, including the event’s host Justine Namere.
Santa Anzo, must have been a big fan of Hollywood sensation Lupita’s cape outfit, as her own creations had the cape, that was printed to contrast from the plain yellow peplum dresses.
As far as the guests fashion sense was concerned, many definitely made an effort to show up in their best with Nigerian super model Oluchi donning white sheer arm detailed dress. Aamito, on the other hand, went for two outfits; a lady crane off shoulder yellow and red dress, with an illustration of the national bird across it. Later she changed to Renzioni creation.
