In a heartfelt tribute to the late Joseph Tamale Mirundi, Hajji Muhammad Kasajja, father of the late Isma Olaxess Ichuli, praised Mirundi’s remarkable personality.
“Tamale Mirundi was a peaceful, lovely, humble, and brave man. We had become like brothers,” Kasajja shared, reflecting on the bond they formed.
It has been a year since Hajji Muhammad Kasajja faced the devastating loss of his son, Isma Olaxess, who was tragically gunned down on May 6, 2023.
The ambush by unknown assailants occurred near his home in Kyanja, leaving the community in shock and mourning. Isma was laid to rest in Katwe-Nkokonjeru, Buikwe district.
The nation continues to mourn the loss of Joseph Tamale Mirundi, a former Presidential Press Secretary and respected current affairs analyst.
Mirundi succumbed to lung complications on Tuesday night at St. Mary’s Hospital Kisubi, where he had been receiving treatment for months.
His body has been transported to his Zana residence for an overnight vigil.
Mirundi’s final resting place will be at his ancestral home in Kalagala Village, Kaliisizo, Kyotera district.
He will be laid to rest on Sunday, August 18, 2024, as family, friends, and the nation gather to bid farewell to a man remembered for his contributions and unwavering spirit.
