Rema Namakula’s song ‘Linda’ that features the talented Chris Evans is not only rocking the airwaves on Radio and TV but also rocking digital music platforms in Uganda. The two artistes have now bagged an award for their hit song from MTN Uganda.

Rema who was announced the first winner of the MTN Callertunez Online Awards back in August is a winner again after her song with Chris Evans hit over 11,000 new downloads in the month of November. In the song, the two artistes sing about small things that mean a lot in a relationship and how to make your love life worthwhile.

The 24-year-old will be rewarded with a cash Prize from MTN Uganda which she will share with her colleague Chris Evans. The first time Rema won the award was in the month of August where her song Mchuzi garnered over 6000 downloads. David Lutalo followed by winning the award for two months before Rema returned to take her seat.

The MTN CallerTunez Awards will be crowned off at a mega event later this year that will see different artistes and content creators rewarded for their efforts to promote the Ugandan music industry through the use of digital.

We will keep you posted.
