You have got to admire the industry and work rate of Rema.Pregnancy rumours aside, the young artiste has a knack for churning out quality from her music to her videos. For an artiste who only broke out last year, I am taken by surprise evrytime I listen to some new material from her or get the chance to watch her videos. It goes to underline her undying desire to be the biggest female musician in the country.
She stakes her claim by bringing the soon-to-be fan favourite “Sitaki” to life. The already good song warranted befitting visuals and Rema doesn’t disappoint. The video is quite a good look with directors form Ark Menz behind the lens and we are presented with three and half minutes of splendid entertainment in motion.
In the video, the ever stunning Rema rolls up in a Mercedes Benz convertible with fans screaming as they gasp for breath and she is seen being whisked away to backstage. The directors give that scene a Grammy’s red carpet setting and they nail it with the lighting and camera shots. It’s evident in the video that Rema is the star of the moment and she owns it.
The costumes are perfect as Rema embodies sass, grace all in one outfit and its clear to notice why Eddie Kenzo can’t get enough of her. Her dancing looks a tad too wayward and she almost gets a foot wrong but the male dancers quickly save her blushes.
All in all, it is a video good on the eye and should keep the viewers hooked.
