Ugandan artist Rema Namakula is having her best year yet. For starters, she features in the new season of Coke Studio Africa where she collaborated with Nigerian legend 2baba(formerly Tuface Idibia). Secondly, she was among “the chosen few” selected to work with R’n’B legend Trey Songz when he was in Nairobi recently for Coke Studio Africa. And lastly, it’s not everyday that one gets hugged by Trigga Trey like Rema did.
Her 2016 triumphs aside, Rema was once a back-up singer for Bebe Cool, an opportunity that she says helped her grow as a musician.
