Rema Namakula has revealed plans for a tribute concert to honor her “mother” and mentor, Halima Namakula.
The announcement came during her energetic performance at Club Guvnor last night, where she shared the stage with Halima.
According to Rema, the tribute is scheduled for July next year at Serena Hotel in Kampala. The event will feature performances from various artists, all coming together to celebrate Halima’s legacy.
Rema emphasized that the tribute is meant to honor Halima while she’s still alive to witness the impact she has made.
Halima Namakula has been a driving force in empowering women through her music, with songs like Fistula raising awareness on important social issues.
“She has inspired many, helped so many people, and it’s only fair we celebrate her while she’s still with us,” Rema stated. After Rema’s heartfelt plea, Halima graciously accepted the proposal, making it a highly anticipated event next year.
