As Uganda awaits reggae star, Tarrus Riley, Kenya has already had their own reggae party with international act, Maxi Priest.
Best known for his reggae style of music fused with an RnB feel, English reggae sensation, Maxi Priest set foot in Kenya on Saturday for his first ever concert in the country.
On landing, he promised to deliver a great show;
“YES!AFRICA!!After 20 hours of flying we are here in NAIROBI,KENYA!The move is the concert at the NGONG RACECOURSE. Its all about the MUSIC and GOOD VIBES. See you all TOMORROW” he wrote.
He indeed created the good vibes by putting on a great concert at the Ngong racecourse Waterfront in Nairobi last evening, Sunday the 12th of August.
As earlier anticipated by reggae fans in Kenya, the show was a lot of fun as revelers got to their feet and partied the whole night to the stars’ reggae fusion of Lovers rock.
He is one of only two British reggae acts (along with UB40) to have an American Billboard number one.
