Two Sergio Ramos headers and Cristiano Ronaldo’s brace helped Real Madrid to reach their first Champions League final for 12 years after thrashing Bayern Munich 4-0 at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday, giving them a 5-0 win on aggregate.
The Spanish side increased advantage to their one-goal lead from the first leg when Sergio Ramos scored two headers from set-pieces in four minutes before Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 15th goal in the competition this season before the break on a counter-attack.
The hosts enjoyed the lion’s share of possession in the second half and continued to push for a consolation, but they were unable to get the better of the Madrid defence.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side sealed an emphatic victory when Ronaldo added a fourth with a late free-kick.
Real Madrid, whose midfielder Xabi Alonso suspended for the next game after picking yellow card, will face either Atletico Madrid or Chelsea in the Lisbon final next month.
