Reach A Hand Uganda (RAHU) in conjunction with Emmanuel Ikubese Films is set to release a pan-African edutainment TV show dubbed “Kyaddala: It’s Real” that will target young people from across the continent.

The TV series that will be premiered on 27th of September 2019, features top actors and actresses from Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Nigeria, and will depict issues facing young people through a rich storyline that rotates on themes like Life skills empowerment for young people (covering education, livelihoods and women empowerment), HIV and its impact on young people, Teenage pregnancy among others.

“Edutainment is one of our strongest channels of communication to young people. We continuously innovate on how we impact change in a language that our target audience understand and Kyaddala is another way that we look forward to creating more impact.” Humphrey Nabimanya, the Team Leader & Founder of Reach A Hand Uganda mentioned.

The TV series is expected to be aired on NBS Television in October and other international platforms that will see it expand to more young people on the African continent since the challenges that it addresses, are familiar to what many of them face across the continent.

Through my acting career life, I have taken up responsibilities like Femi in the award-winning TV show MTV Shuga that focuses on HIV and young people. I have used this platform to impact very many young people and I can’t wait to do the same with Kyaddala: It’s real this time round in Uganda but going continental.” Emmanuel Ikubese, the Director and Executive Producer of Kyaddala: Its real mentioned.

Shot and directed in Kampala, Uganda, Kyaddala brings out risky behaviours, society’s role and the uphill climb to address the challenges to light through the storyline and characters as elucidated in the 5 main characters Wonny, Eze, Kalungi, Umutoni and Shamim. The series highlights how young people deal with each of these challenges, based off the limited information they receive from both home and school.

The cast comprises of 28 actors and actresses who were successful after auditions that attracted over 187 emerging and seasoned actors and actresses. Some of the actors and actresses include Martha Kay, Salvador Idring, Harmonie Kyomugisha, Eleanor and Mathew Nabwiso, Anita Fabiola, Kevin Wanjiru (Kenya), Stephen Katusiime, Emmanuel Ikubese and Olumide Ollu (from Nigeria).

Big Eye StarBoss Stuck In Ugx. 450Million Debt, Tears For Rescue

Find out information about Coronavirus in Uganda. More here.

By BigEyeUg Team; In the face of being one of the most rewarded musicians by the President of Uganda for the past two years, Big Eye feels life is not worth to live.

Even not the recent 10 hybrid cows can console him back to his flamboyant lifestyle.

Apparently, struggling singer Ibrahim Mayanja aka Big Eye StarBoss is out of sorts after accumulating over Shs. 450Million in debts.

In a live Facebook video, the ‘Ndi Single’ singer has cried out his heart to the President of Uganda, H.E YK Museveni, fellow NRM members, and fans at large to redeem his current financial crisis that may ride him into jail.

The self-proclaimed ‘Star Boss’ says he purchased a residential house worth Shs. 460Million but he managed to make an initial deposit of Shs.60Million with hope of mending the balance in the shortest time possible.

On a sad note, all his plans were doomed earlier this year after being pelted with bottles as he was performing live on stage which pursued concert promoters to also shun his bookings.

After mounting unbearable pressure from the bank over the debts, Big Eye’s hopes drained and he resorted to selling his own car which has not also matched the debts to date.

Big Eye also says he has defaulted additional Shs.50Million as rent for the past 6months.

He also notes that he has a limited grace period to make the full payment for the house if he is not ready to lose even the initial deposit of Shs.60Million.

I am left with limited time to complete the house payment or else am likely to lose even the Shs. 60Million that I paid at first,” said Big Eye.

He further claims to have not received any payment from the NRM political party despite offering campaigning services for H.E YK Museveni in the 2010 and 2015 campaigns.

As usual, the singer is receiving severe controversy all over the media as majority ascertain him to be a ‘mere beggar’ who is often drawn to seeking public sympathy, a mark he seems not to be bothered with.

For innumerable years now, most celebrity brands around the world have lost their paths and diminished by the consequences of denying responsibility for their own offspring.

This is a concern on table of multi-talented Ugandan singer Baguma Crescent, aka Beenie Gunter who has been pinned by his former mistress, a one Akankwasa Phiona.

Speaking at NBS TV’s Uncut show, Phiona trolled the ‘Olina Work’ hitmaker for allegedly impregnating her and neglecting his duties as a father to his own child.

The mistress claims to have met Beenie Gunter a few years back at Latino bar in Namugongo where they cracked an intimate relationship as she routinely paid him visits at his residence in Kiwatule by then.

It was at this juncture that Phiona conceived and her pregnancy news were such unpleasant to the ‘Gun Talk City’ CEO as he opted for an abortion.

However, Beenie’s last plan wasn’t successful after Phiona failing to rise the abortion fee.

Months later, Phiona gave birth but her plans to meet her baby daddy were in vain after he had shifted from the former residence in Kiwatule.

Further, her plans to meet Beenie Gunter’s parents instead were also ruined after he turned-down her request to handover the child to them.
