During a recent appearance on Galaxy TV, Ugandan singer Ray G real names Reagan Muhairwe opened up about his childhood aspirations, revealing a desire to become the president of Uganda.

In a candid conversation with show host Mr. Henrie, Ray G shared his early ambitions and how they intertwined with his passion for music.

“Growing up, I wanted to be the president of Uganda. Actually, I got to a point where I asked my teachers if I could still become a President and continue with my music too,” Ray G disclosed during the interview.

Despite his youthful aspirations, Ray G admitted that the dream of presidency no longer occupies his thoughts actively.

“If the dream still exists, then it’s there subconsciously because I don’t think about it now,” he explained when asked about the current status of his childhood ambition.

Ray G has emerged as one of the fastest-growing artists in Uganda over the past six years. His breakthrough came in 2019 with a notable collaboration titled “Omusheshe” alongside top songstress Spice Diana.

Since then, Ray G has continued to captivate audiences with his unique blend of musical talent and personal authenticity.

The singer’s reflections on his childhood dream provide a glimpse into the multifaceted journey of an artist who balances ambition with artistic expression.
