Renowned journalist Joseph Kabuleta has recently been on the receiving end of harsh criticism from a section of the public. This after photos emerged showing Kabuleta kissing another man’s feet.
This was during a plush dinner held at Kololo Independence grounds on Friday to honour Prophet Elvis Mbonye. Kabuleta expressed his adoration for the Prophet as he knelt down and kissed his shoes.
Following the criticism, several individuals have come to the defense of Kabuleta. Among them is Christian rapper Ruyonga who claims that Mbonye and Kabuleta are best friends and that was one of the ways they were expressing their love for each other.
Ruyonga shared his thoughts on Twitter where he wrote:
“The picture of Kabuleta kissing Mbonye’s feet has everyone up in self righteous arms and that’s sad. These are best friends. Before all the titles, they love each other. Mbonye would kneel and kiss Kabuleta’s shoe without blinking. I know one lady show promoter and her radio presenter friend happy to insult this man and those two would kiss each other’s feet in a heartbeat, why? Because they are best friends, closer than sisters, And they love each other. To death.”
