Recho Rey recounted that becoming close to Sheebah was a turning point for her.

She learned valuable lessons from the diva that helped her realize she was not alone in her struggles.

“Being around Sheebah helped me beat depression. It was only after talking to Sheebah that I learned things that were happening to me were quite normal. Even if it never happened to everyone out there, it did happen to someone. This is when I actually realized I was not crazy. It is okay to go through a rough patch because everyone does,” Recho Rey revealed during the interview.

The rapper emphasized that understanding the universality of her experiences was a key factor in her recovery.
