Musician Ragga Dee, who has not been able to stage a one-man show for over five years, has come out to say that he wants to help fellow musicians when he becomes Mayor.
The “Parliament” singer revealed that he plans to deal with the harsh rules that have been passed against local music and other public shows.
He revealed that the fees that are being levied by the City authority at the moment are very high and this leaves out many singers who cannot afford them. This, he said he would tackle in his first days in office.
“I hear you have to stake shs 40M to stage a show in Kampala and am not Balaam! You are aware Ziza Bafana’s show was cancelled because the current leadership does not understand the various groups of people; I have suffered together with my family because I have not staged a show for over five years in Kampala but why!!!! Entrust me with power and things will change,” he said at a recent campaign.
Ragga Dee joins several other musicians who plan to take political office in 2016. We wish him all the best.
We will keep you posted.
