Radio West’s Jimmy Pounds who died in April this year has been replaced. Ivan Ariturinda aka Murungi will be co-hosting the ‘Enaama’ and ‘Akagwe’ shows together with Robert Kachebezi who has been with the Vision Group owned Western Uganda station for years.
Ivan was appointed by Vision Groups head of radio Bill Tibingana, he is known to be a man who means business when on air and will surely deliver according to colleagues at the Mbarara based station that broadcasts via 100.2 fm.
Jimmy was fine and complained of no illness on the day he passed on. He got hiccups that later hastened into serious vomiting ultimately death. He was buried in Mugarutsya, Bubaare, Kashari, Mbarara District on Friday 25th April 2014. May his soul rest in peace.
