Musicians Radio and Weasel are very lucky. After winning the Afrima award for Best Africa Reggae artistes at the Afrima awards 2014 in Lagos, Nigeria, the two returned to Uganda only to be welcomed by their country manager in a DMC Car.
The car failed to work along the way developing into a fire that almost consumed them to ashes. Their luck came into play as they were whisked away by one of their friends who had a better car.
According to our sources, they arrived at the airport at about 12pm, their manager Chagga was at hand to drop them in Kampala from Entebbe. However, the car he had brought was in dangerous mechanical condition. It later blew up into flames in the middle of the road because of overheating. They had reached around Lubaga when this happened. They were later saved by David Lutalo’s manager.
Weasel decided to take a boda boda after the incident and rushed off to his home.
Both artistes are fine.
