Singing duo Mowzey Radio and Weasel survived being lynched by an angry mob last Saturday. The duo had been lined up to perform for revelers at Comfort Cottages in Kasangati over the weekend but they showed up late in the night when people had grown tired of waiting.
As people were leaving at around 2:00am after long hours of waiting, the MC announced that Radio and Weasel had arrived along with Sizzaman. The angry crowd pounced on the MC and gave him a thorough beating for making the announcement so late, then they attempted to beat up Radio and Weasel.
The ‘Amaaso’ singers who saw danger approaching as the crowd came closer to them decided to flee the scene. They had been performing at the Club Street Jam in Masaka up until 10:45pm. Arriving at 2am was an insult to revelers who demanded that they be refunded 5,000shs that they had used to buy tickets to the show.
Luckily Sizzaman, Radio and Weasel escaped uninjured.
