As the world marks Radio Week, a period dedicated to remembering the late Ugandan music icon Mowzey Radio, a surprising revelation has emerged.

A statement from the official Radio & Weasel page disclosed that their collaboration with singer A Pass was initially meant to feature on the song Tuli Kubigere.
However, the duo decided to let A Pass perform the track solo because of its deep personal meaning to his journey.

“Since it’s #RadioWeek, and we are throwing it back! Did you know our collabo with A Pass was originally supposed to be on Tuli Kubigere? But the song was so deeply personal to A Pass’s journey, we convinced him to own it solo,” the statement read.
This revelation comes as fans and the music industry reflect on the legacy of Mowzey Radio, who passed away on February 1, 2018, at Case Hospital in Kampala. His influence on Uganda’s music scene remains strong, with many artists and fans celebrating his contribution to the industry.
Coincidentally, this week also marks a major milestone for A Pass, who is set to hold his highly anticipated concert at Kampala Serena Hotel on Friday, January 31, 2025.
His performance is expected to be one of the highlights of the week, as fans gather to celebrate both his music and the lasting impact of Mowzey Radio.
