Our own Ugandan artistes are proving their ability to make it to international level after four of them were nominated in the prestigious BEFFTA ( Black Entertainment Film Fashion Television and Arts ) awards.
This is a special awards ceremony honouring the best showbiz and entertainment personalities in the black and ethnic communities in the UK, USA, Africa, Caribbean, Canada among other nations.
Eddy Kenzo, Radio & Weasel have been nominated in the same category, Best International African Act, with other superstars who include PSquare, Davido, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Sarkodie, Wiz Kid, Timsya, Olamide among others.
Jose Chameleone’s recently released Wale Wale video and Eddy Kenzo’s Jambole video with the Ghetto kids have also been nominated under the category of Best Music Video, other videos in the same category include Doro Bucci (Marvin Records), Khona (Mafikizolo ft Uhuru) among others.
This is good news to the fans of these our Ugandan artistes however it will be had to scoop an award since they are nominated alongside top African Music stars making competition very stiff.
