In a poignant move, the Goodlyfe Magic management of the renowned Ugandan music duo, Radio & Weasel, has officially confirmed a concert for the iconic duo later this year.
Despite facing the tragic loss of Mowzey Radio in 2018, Weasel Manizo, the surviving member, is set to honor their musical legacy with a live performance.
A statement shared on Radio & Weasel’s social media channels reads, “YES, we will have our Concert This Year. To all our Goodlyfe Fans worldwide, we got a concert for you.” This confirmation marks a significant moment for fans who have been eagerly anticipating the return of the dynamic duo to the stage.
The last time Radio & Weasel graced the concert stage was in November 2017 at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds. The event was a celebration of their remarkable 10-year journey in the music industry, occurring just two months before the unfortunate passing of Mowzey Radio. The absence of their joint presence has left a void in the hearts of their devoted followers.
Since Mowzey Radio’s demise, Weasel has faced challenges in maintaining the momentum of their music career. The upcoming concert is expected to be an emotional journey for both the surviving member and fans, serving as a tribute to the remarkable musical partnership that defined an era in Ugandan music.
Weasel Manizo has encountered a mix of criticism and praise from different corners of the world as he navigated the challenging path of a solo career. The forthcoming concert is seen as a pivotal moment that could potentially reignite Weasel’s solo journey and pay homage to the indelible mark left by Mowzey Radio.
The decision to proceed with the concert on the day the world celebrates Mowzey Radio’s posthumous birthday adds an extra layer of emotion to the event. Mowzey Radio would have turned 39 today, and the concert stands as a fitting tribute to the late artist’s enduring impact on the music industry.
As Radio & Weasel fans worldwide await the much-anticipated concert, it is evident that the event will be more than just a musical performance; it will be a heartfelt reunion with the spirit of Mowzey Radio, keeping his legacy alive in the hearts of fans.
