Despite enjoying mega success in the music industry for a longtime, unlike other musicians, Radio and Weasel have not forgotten their mentor Jose Chameleone. The Goodlyfe boys have written an open letter to the Leone Island boss thanking him for believing in them. They posted:
“We’ve come a long way, Radio n Weasel as a duo started in 2008. We can’t say this journey has been simple, till date we still remain relevant to this industry. Normally many times we forget to thank the people that made us in all aspects; financially, emotionally, spiritually and mentally.
Today we thank fans and most importantly our mentor DR. Jose Chameleone like he once said #bassima ogenze, nah we aint waiting for that, its very important to salute the people that made a difference in our lives and career, we are happy and proud to say you are such an important pillar to both our lives and music industry.”
It should be recalled that the two singers started their music career in Jose Chameleone’s Leone Island crew but later left the group to form their own Goodlyfe Crew and have been able to attain music success being the first Ugandan artistes to be nominated in the prestigious BET Awards and have even won several continental awards such as AFRIMMA and The Oscars.
