After Uganda flopped at MTV MAMAs where our own musicians Jose Chameleone and Bebe Cool lost to Nigerians, Radio and Weasel have come out to explain why Ugandan artistes don’t win any accolades when they are nominated in prestigious awards like BET, World Music Awards, Channel O and others.
Radio and Weasel posted: “As Ugandan artistes, we have managed to scoop some accolades and the other times we have failed, this is due to disunity and indifferences not favoring team Uganda as One.
(1) Most awards, voting is done online and we have a few internet users.
(2) We are not united as one.
As Radio & Weasel we think fans and media should come out as one and support our own artistes regardless social ties, because at the end of the day we are all Ugandans and its coming to our Mother land. With that we will stand a big chance against the dominant nations.”
