“Queen of Katwe” movie starring Kenya’s Hollywood actress Lupita Nyong’o is ready for release, we have been informed.
Close to 2 months after shooting the movie both in Uganda and South Africa, the team that was editing “Queen of Katwe” that comprised of experts from Disney and 2 Ugandans has finally finished editing.
According to our sources, the editing that was taking place at the premises of Maisha film lab was completed a few days ago. We have been informed that the Disney editing counterpart moved with the finished product to their head offices for his bosses to review the final copy of the movie before it can be released for public consumption.
Meanwhile, the movie cast includes several prominent Ugandan personalities like Maurice Kirya, Sheebah Karungi, John Nagenda, Eddy Kenzo among others.
