Psy’s long-awaited collaboration with Snoop Dogg is to be released next week.
The Gangnam Style singer and the US rapper have teamed up for new “party anthem” Hangover and they’ll debut the track during a special prime time airing of US talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Sunday, June 8.
The video for the new track will then be posted on Psy’s YouTube channel and on Kimmel’s website.
The song will be available as a digital download the following day on June 9.
Whether Psy’s latest effort makes a tenth of the splash as the song that made his name remains to be seen. but the South Korean pop singer has already proved himself more than a one-hit wonder. His 2013 follow-up Gentleman cracked the top 10 in the United States, United Kingdom and achieved gold sales here.
Last month, Gangnam Style officially became the first music video to pass two billion views on YouTube. It has nearly twice as many views as the next most popular song, Justin Bieber’s Baby, featuring Ludacris.
Commenting on the feat in a statement, Psy wrote: “2 billion views… they are very honourable and very burdensome numbers. With appreciation, I will come back soon with more joyful contents!”
