Prophet Brian Kagyezi and Pneuma Word Ministries have given out Christmas food packages worth 50 million Uganda shillings to 1000 families as the church celebrates 2 years since being founded.
The annual charity event has been organized now for the second time in a row after the first event which was held last year 2018 at the Pneuma Miracle grounds which attracted families from 9 zones.
This year’s event has had an addition of four more zones bringing the total number to 13 which include, Luteete, Komamboga, Kungu, Kitettika, Walufumbe, Nazareth, Kyanja central, Kisaasi central, Kondongolo, Tubba, Katumba, Kasana and Kulambiro
The items were worth sh50m with each set having rice, posho, sugar and a packet of salt.
The event that started at 8 o’clock in the morning saw families from less privileged backgrounds flock the church grounds with joy with the company of local and security leaders.
While speaking at the Feed a thousand event, the founder and president of Pneuma Word Ministries, Prophet Brian Kagyezi said the Christmas packages were not only being given for Christmas but also as a church, we are celebrating two years in the community.
“We thank God for welcoming us into the community and we are always humbled for the love and relationships we have with the community,” said Prophet Brian.
While handing over items to the beneficiaries at the church, the Nakawa Division Mayor, Ronald Balimwezo thanked the Church for the gesture to support the needy. The blessing this church has been to the community is very beautiful and we thank God for what it is doing in transforming the lives of people.
The beneficiaries included the elderly, disabled, orphans, widows and the sick.
“It is absurd that there are many churches that are only seeking out to take from people but not give back. Churches need to be reaching out to people but instead, we have churches that have forgotten their purpose,” said Hon. Balimwezo.
