Salvado, putting all anger and emotions aside, let’s be realistic. Pepsi is one Company in Uganda that has supported local music and concerts for years. Name the concert, Bebecool, Chameleone, Maro, David Lutalo,Juliana, even Artists we hardly know and for that you need to salute them. When it comes to comedy, one brand that has supported your industry is Miranda, even your Ombokolo show that you keep talking about was advertised for a month by the same company and at the beginning of the year injected 500m in Ugandan comedy. Suddenly all that is not important because of something that can be solved by parties not insults on social media. Don’t forget the same promoters that you have labelled “GREEDY” are the same promoters that have to look for money to inject in the shows and album launches of local artists. This show much to my knowledge is being made possible by BK a big promoter of Ugandan Music, Balaam who is clearly the Ugandan sabavulu and Vibes productions. Don’t you think they also need to find money which later they invest in local talent?? They too are Ugandans trying to make ends meet. I don’t think they want Irene to fail it’s just a bad coincidence. I also do think Pepsi has supported many Swangz Ave events like Buzz teenez Awards and Buzz leavers Rock, so I don’t think anyone means bad. Plus I have not seen any billboard up saying Pepsi is sponsoring the jamaican Battle nor Irene’s show. I think we in this industry ought to be more respectful and appreciative of Uganda companies that support our industry than dragging their brands in wars that totally don’t concern them. And you Salvado should appreciate that most. And BTW Konshens and Busy Signal are both Pepsi Ambassadors. Plus since you are very patriotic please share some of your serena proceeds with a charity and u will indeed walk the talk of #forGodandmyCountry. Atleast Konshens donated 1000 text books and scholastic materials to students of Kololo. Show cause. I still believe this will be solved amicably and both events will be a huge success. We all need each other.
