Promoter Nobat has voiced his disappointment and frustration over his recent fallout with singer Weasel Manizo.
In an interview with Sanyuka TV, Nobat explained the efforts and resources he invested in organizing a concert for the artist, expressing regret over the way he has been treated in return.
“I put in a lot of effort for Weasel’s concert. I invested a lot to bring shine to his music career when everyone had abandoned him. He shouldn’t have treated me this way,” Nobat stated during the phone call interview.
The self-proclaimed “Generation Promoter” revealed that the conflict began during a reconciliation meeting with Weasel and his management.
The meeting was intended to evaluate the concert’s outcomes and address any outstanding issues.
However, tensions escalated when Weasel and his team began demanding their share of UGX 20 million, a sum that was initially agreed upon in the contract for the event.
Nobat expressed his dismay at the demands, especially considering the financial losses incurred from the concert.
According to Nobat, the event did not generate the expected profits, resulting in a personal loss of over UGX 45 million.
He emphasized that the demand for such a large amount of money was unfair, given the financial outcome of the event.
The situation has left Nobat feeling disheartened, as he had hoped for better cooperation and understanding from Weasel and his team.
