One of Uganda’s strongly recognized new promoters in town BK of BK promotions has finally resorted to promoting new talents under his label. His label employs a considerable number of people including marketers, organizers, talent scouts and musician. Others include high school students, campusers and graduates with different talents.
This label rounds up talents ranging from music, boxing, rallies, kickboxing and jetting in big artists from overseas. This can be traced from this gentleman being ear marked to be the one who was meant to jet in Konshens for the second time despite succumbing to pressures from a big and already established company.
It should be noted that the above promoter worked tooth and nail to have Golola Moses of Uganda back in shape after suffering a loss to Szamboki Mate from Hungary. He organized for him a 2 months training session in Nairobi with one of the professional kickboxing coaches in Africa.
When the public relations officer for this label was reached on why his boss took that move of signing fresh and young talents, he told us that these artists are manageable and therefore easy to work with and fewer risks are involved with such people.
He explained that big names are usually hyped and most of the times turn promoters down during shows and concerts with low turn ups simply because of their politics- a case that is rare with talents that one nurtures from grass to grace.
Meanwhile, BK promotions is organizing a kickboxing fight that is going to determine the champion of Uganda between Golola and Tugume early next month at Kyadondo Rugby grounds.
