It’s not so long ago that the Makindye based producer Didi and singer Panadol wa Basajja were rounded up and taken to Luzira on accounts of immoral acts of exposing pornography to the public by the Minister of Ethics and Integrity.
Didi was, however, able to escape 4 years of imprisonment at Luzira maximum prison after he received a court bail through his lawyers and friends and now is back at his studio.
A close friend to Didi who paid him a visit after his release was shocked to see that Didi was not remorseful about his actions. “I was shocked, he was laughing about it,” said a friend.
According to Didi, he had started to lose his footing and no single artiste would go to his studio to record a song therefore he had to fight his way back to limelight and he chose that way which almost doomed his career.
Meanwhile, Panadol wa basajja was remanded back to Luzira prison after she failed to get sureties. She will return to court early next month for a court hearing about her bail application.
