Producer Danz Kumapeesa’s hospital bill has grown to an astronomical figure, and his caretakers can longer manage to keep up.
The producer who has been admitted in the intensive care unit at Nsambya hospital for more than three weeks after he was severely beaten by thugs is said to be paying over 500K everyday in medical bills. According to the producer’s mother, the medical bill is now at 18 million and continues to grow.
She is now crying out to the public for financial assistance. In a video that emerged online, she says: “We can’t afford the bill which keeps increasing by day. We therefore call on friends, relatives and well-wishers to join efforts and support us in raising funds to clear the hospital bills.”
This comes at a time when a car wash is being organised to raise money towards supporting the producer in hospital. The car wash will be held on Saturday, July 1 at Panamera bar where big trucks like lorries and buses will be washed for Shs100,000, small cars for Shs50,000 and bikes for Shs30,000.
