Producer Danz Kumapeesa fundraising campaign held at Panamera bar on Saturday was a huge success.
Organised by radio personality Andrew Kyamagero, the car wash attracted a host of local celebrities and well-wishers. According to Kyamagero, the event attracted over 50 cars and raised about Ugx 7.7 million from washing cars and in pledges.
Some of the musicians that were in attendance included Bobi Wine, Irene Ntale, Aziz Azion, and Ykee Benda among others.
The producer who has been admitted in the intensive care unit at Nsambya hospital for over a month now after he was severely beaten by thugs is said to be paying over 500K per night in medical bills.
According to his caretakers, the raised money will be used to take Danz Kumapeesa out of intensive care unit as he is now out coma and responding well to medication.
