Reflecting on the events that started her struggle, she disclosed that it was during a post-birthday celebration when friends threw an additional party for her.

A friend introduced her to what she thought was marijuana, but later, she realized it was actually a mix of cocaine and heroin.

The side effects she experienced were severe, setting off a cycle of dependency.

Pretty Glo confessed that she became addicted without fully understanding the consequences, a situation that led to repeated mental health challenges.

Over the years, she has checked into rehabilitation facilities several times, each attempt a step toward recovery from the addiction that impacted her personal and professional life.

In 2019, after years away from the public eye, Pretty Glo made headlines once again when she reappeared in a visibly poor condition.

She was accused of stealing a mobile phone in a Kampala suburb, an incident that quickly spread across social media.

Her struggles drew significant attention, sparking public debates around the lives of Ugandan celebrities and the financial hardships some face when they step away from the music scene.
