Though he’s not an old student of the School, the president will be the chief guest at a St.Henry’s College Kitovu Event. Museveni will lead the fundraising campaign as Kitovu prepares to celebrate 100 years of existence. The centenary campaign will kick off at the school premises in Kitovu, Masaka district on the 13th of July during the school day.

The headmaster of St.Henry’s college Kitovu, Brother Augustine Mugabo confirmed the news during a phone interview.

“It is true he is coming on St.Henry’s day on the 13th of July as the chief guest. All Old students, parents, well-wishers and friends are invited,” confirmed Bro.Mugabo. The event will kick off at 9:30am with Mass celebrations. Last year, the head teacher launched a decade of development during the 90 years celebrations. The decade is to see the school turn into the best school for holistic development in the country with the best facilities.

Kitovu was founded in September 1922 by a Canadian missionary, a disciple of Cardinal Lavigerie, Fr. Adrian Laberge of the White Fathers. It’s currently managed by the Brothers of Christian Instruction. The school is popular in academics and in extra-curricular activities. At the school, every class has its own football pitch which is uncommon since most schools don’t have a single pitch.

Come 13th July 2022, St. Henry’s College Kitovu will celebrate 100 years of mentoring Ugandans at secondary school levels. The SHACK Old Boys Association developed a comprehensive layout of Projects to be done before the year 2022.

As of 19th May 2013, the following projects have taken off
a) The Hostel Block (Photos below)
b) The scholarship for the best O level student tenable at SHACK.
We appeal to all Old boys, Parents and Well wishers of the great college to support the cause.
Please send your contributions and have your name written in SHACK Hall of FAME.
