Football delegates will meet at Soroti Hotel in Soroti this weekend for the 91st FUFA General Assembly where H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the President of the Republic of Uganda is expected to be the guest of honor.
This was revealed by the local football governing body during this week’s press conference at FUFA House in Mengo, Kampala.
The invite is a gesture to show thankfulness for the president’s endless support to the national team, the Uganda Cranes over the years and especially in the recent fixture when he provided $210,000 for the team to travel to Comoros.
“We have invited H.E the President of the Republic of Uganda as Chief Guest to the forthcoming General Assembly in Soroti. This is because of the support we receive from him with the most recent one when he funded the entire trip of Uganda Cranes to Comoros,” FUFA first Vice president, Justus Mugisha revealed.
The two-day assembly will be attended by 86 football delegates, Member Associations, FUFA partners, invited individuals and other Interest Groups to discuss football matters across the country with accountability set to be on top of the agenda.
