Kool & the Gang

As we prepare for what is set to be the concert of the year, a 70’s disco style themed dress code has been chosen for the Kool & The Gang Concert on the 12th of November at the Kololo Airstrip Grounds.

Tusker Malt Lager, in partnership with Silk Events and Talent Africa, have prepared what will be the biggest outdoor disco themed production for any concert ever in Uganda.

The 70’s Disco style themed concert will have Ugandans grooving to the best of Kool & the Gang since their inception in 1964. The band has promised to put on a show that we shall never forget. So have the event organizers – Talent Africa & Silk Events.

Commenting on the preparations for the concert, Silk Events CEO, Elvis Sekyanzi, said; “Silk Events plan to set up a 70’s disco style look and feel of the 4,000 seater dome that will be at the Kololo Airstrip Ground. The preparations are positively progressing and we shall have a party to enjoy come the 12 th November.”

Traveling with a full band, Kool & The Gang shall play hits such as; “Jungle Boogie,” “Cherish,” “Open Sesame,” “Summer Madness,” “Ladies Night” and “Celebration”.

With over 70 million album sales to their name, the band has earned two Grammy Awards and seven American Music Awards along with its legendary status.

Tusker Malt Lager Brand Manager, Alex Tusingwire, said; “We have chosen a 70’s disco style dress code to give the revelers a new experience when it comes to music concerts. The dress code will allow them feel part of the whole performance and go down memory lane in the right attire. Our aim is to give people a memorable musical experience.”

Tickets will be sold in the Bronze, Silver and Gold categories. Bronze tickets are available at 150k, Silver Tickets at 250k and Gold VVIP tables are 5 million shillings a table.

Early bird tickets for the Kool & The Gang concert are on sale until October 24th where prices for all tickets categories are 20% of the normal price. Early bird tickets are now on sale online at www.easyticket.co.ug and www.jumia.ug.

Tickets are also on sale at the Definition Shop in Acacia Mall, Liquid Silk in Bugolobi and Talent Africa/Yujo Restaurant in Nakasero.

Tusker Malt Lager is synonymous with some of the best afro musical acts in Uganda and through Kool & the Gang, consumers can expect a slightly different dimension but all the same a funky musical experience.

In line with its support for responsible drinking, Tusker Malt Lager will be maintaining a strict ‘over 18 only’ policy for sale of alcohol.
