Following the display of several ‘money’ bundles by Rich Gang members; Ivan Semwanga, Edward Cheune and King Lawrence, the Uganda Police has opened up investigations on the trio with fear that they might circulate counterfeit money during the festivities.
Speaking in a phone interview, Patrick Onyango, the police spokesperson in Kampala noted that after closely watching the Rich Gang video where the three displayed massive dollar bundles, they suspect that these dollars might be counterfeit.
He, however, noted that it is not a crime to have a lot of money but if it is found out that the money is counterfeit, they will have to be arrested and charged.
