Betty Chemisto, a traffic officer who was caught on camera braving the rain on October 30th to guide traffic has been rewarded.
Her “selfless and heroic” actions caught the attention of the public after her photo on duty despite the heavy down pour went viral on social media.
Accordingly, she was handed Shs 1.7M collected from citizens touched by her selfless devotion on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the police also promised to reward her through the police structures.
